Description

These Apple Cider Vinegar Pickled Onions are such a great addition to so many meals! From Mexican food such as tacos, nachos to burgers, toasts, salads and so much more. These pickled red onions are crunchy, tangy, super easy and quick to make! Ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

1 red onion, large or 2 medium, thinly sliced

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 

1 1/2 cup filtered water

2 tbsp honey or raw sugar

1 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Pack the onions tightly into a mason jar.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat vinegar, water, sweetener, salt. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Pour the mixture over the onions and push down the onions with a spoon to completely cover them. Add more water if needed.
  4. Let the onions cool for 25-30 minutes. Serve or refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.
