This Creamy Tomato Goat Cheese Pasta is such an easy weeknight dinner recipe. It’s made with a few simple ingredients and ready in less than 25 minutes!
Goat cheese in tomato sauce is one of my favorite things. It makes the sauce super creamy, tangy and delicious.
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE TOMATO GOAT CHEESE PASTA SAUCE
Extra virgin olive oil
Garlic and onion
Crushed tomatoes
Italian seasoning
Goat cheese
Fresh basil
Salt & black pepper
HOW TO MAKE PASTA SAUCE WITH GOAT CHEESE
Start with cooking pasta according to directions on the package reserving around 1/2 cup pasta water, set aside.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, preheat oil. Add onion and sauté until softened. Add garlic, italian seasonings and cook for about one more minute,.
Add crushed tomatoes and goat cheese. Stir until creamy. Simmer for about 5-8 minutes.
Season with salt, pepper and stir in fresh basil. Add cooked pasta.
If the sauce is too thick, add pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency.

8 oz pasta of choice, uncooked
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
2 cloves garlic minced
1 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp Italian seasoning
4 ounces goat cheese or to taste
1/4 cup fresh basil, packed
Salt & black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to directions on the package reserving around 1/2 cup pasta water, set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, preheat oil. Add onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic, italian seasonings and cook for about one more minute, stirring frequently.
- Add crushed tomatoes and goat cheese. Stir until creamy. Simmer for about 5-8 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper and stir in fresh basil. Add cooked pasta.
- If the sauce is too thick, add pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency.
